1) Barn Grade

2) Character Grade

You can easily identify it because of its uniformity as compared to barn grade. Character grade boards have a few, fine cracks, smaller knots, & well spaced. It provides an enchanting rich tone floor, when it is laid.

3) Select Grade

If you compare select grade oak with a character grade, you will come to know that select status oak holds lesser knots, & fissures. It contains hairline cracks. You can easily achieve an elegant yet uniform look with select status solid oak flooring. It represents a lighter shade than character grade.

4) Classic Grade

Classic & select grade oak holds the same level of knots, & fissures on boards. Medullar beams can be easily seen in classic status oak.

5) Distressed Grade

Distressed & character grade oak is similar to great extant. It exhibits an effect as it is extracted from a burned house. Aging and antique look is specially given to it. Physically, distressed status oak is stronger than character grade oak. This distressed solid oak flooring appears as antique flooring when laid.

6) Quarter Sawn

Quarter Sawn is very expensive & wanted solid oak flooring. Single board is designed by splitting crosswise quartered oak wood rams resulting in glorious forming & medullar beams joined with a thick grain & great tight. It is used in luxurious houses because of its elegance yet strength.

7) Prime Grade

Prime grade oak flooring is the finest solid oak flooring. It is very pricey. It is absolutely free from fissuring & knotting. It exhibits uniform color tone throughout, so it is the best where uniformity is essential. As well as it is lighter from other oak grades.
